1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using studitory.app (the Platform), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility and School Context
- The Platform is intended for school learning contexts, including student and school-authorised use.
- Where required, schools, parents or guardians are responsible for approvals and permissions for student access.
- You may use pseudonyms or anonymous information when creating an account.
3. Accounts and Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You must not share accounts or attempt unauthorised access to any account, class, school data or system.
- We may suspend or restrict access to protect users, schools or the platform.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
Studitory is a learning platform built for students, teachers and schools. To keep it safe and useful for everyone, please follow these rules. This section applies to all users regardless of age or role.
4.1 Expected Behaviour
- Use the Platform only for lawful educational purposes such as practising questions, reviewing feedback and collaborating in study groups.
- Treat other users with respect in chat, study groups and any shared spaces.
- Keep your login details private and do not share your account with others.
- Report anything that makes you uncomfortable, seems wrong or breaks these rules using the in-app reporting tools or by emailing studitory@gmail.com.
4.2 Prohibited Conduct
- Do not upload, post or share content that is offensive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate for a school environment.
- Do not bully, harass, impersonate or intimidate other users.
- Do not use profanity, hate speech or slurs in usernames, chat messages, study group names or any user-generated content.
- Do not upload harmful, unlawful, infringing or misleading content.
- Do not attempt to access another user's account, data or school information.
- Do not use the Platform to cheat, submit AI-generated work as your own or engage in academic dishonesty.
- Do not attempt to copy, scrape, reverse engineer or redistribute restricted platform content without permission.
- Do not use automated tools, bots or scripts to access the Platform in ways that exceed normal usage.
- Do not attempt to bypass security controls, subscription restrictions or access controls.
4.3 Protections We Have in Place
- Profanity filters are applied to usernames at registration to prevent inappropriate display names.
- Users can report content, questions or other users that breach these rules. Reports are reviewed and actioned by the Studitory team.
- Row Level Security ensures your personal data (answers, progress, account details) is only visible to you and authorised users such as your teacher within a school context.
- Chat and study group content is monitored and Studitory reserves the right to remove content that breaches these terms.
- AI features include safeguards to prevent generation of harmful, inappropriate or misleading outputs.
- Accounts that breach these rules may be suspended or permanently removed.
4.4 If Something Goes Wrong
- If you see content that is inappropriate, offensive or makes you feel unsafe, report it immediately using the in-app tools or email studitory@gmail.com.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact us.
- If you are a student and something on the Platform concerns you, talk to a trusted adult such as a parent, guardian or teacher.
- Studitory will investigate reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, account suspension or referral to relevant authorities where required by law.
5. User Content
- Users may upload educational content to the Platform.
- You retain ownership of your content but grant Studitory a licence to host, process, display and transmit it for service delivery.
- Uploaded material must not infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights.
6. AI-Assisted Features
- Some platform features use AI systems to provide educational feedback and support.
- You must not use AI features to generate prohibited, unsafe or academically dishonest outputs.
- AI outputs may contain errors; users and educators remain responsible for academic decisions and verification.
7. Privacy and Data Handling
Your use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, including information about processing, retention, deletion and rights requests.
8. Subscription, Payments and Trials
- Paid features, trial periods and billing are provided under the plan details shown at purchase.
- Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers.
- If payment fails or a plan is cancelled, access to paid features may change according to your plan terms.
9. Service Availability and Changes
- We may improve, modify or discontinue features from time to time.
- We may perform maintenance and security updates that temporarily affect availability.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
10. Suspension and Termination
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or present safety/security risks.
- Users or schools may request account closure subject to legal and contractual requirements.
- Some information may be retained after closure where required by law, security or dispute resolution obligations.
11. Liability and Disclaimers
- To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided on an as-is basis.
- Studitory is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Platform.
- Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Governing Law and Contact
